Aboriginal garden at Canley Heights Public School

We had the privilege to be able to add to our Aboriginal garden.

We sanded back and painted bamboo sticks with Year 6 Aboriginal students Diego and Wesley, who did an amazing job. We had to be patient as we only had two hours each week where the boys took on this project during recess and lunch-times, painting coats and allowing them to dry, then painting some Indigenous symbols and allowing them to dry, and in turn coating these to be able to be planted in the garden.

This added to the amazing serpent that the Bonnyrigg Garden Centre contributed, along with materials and a talented staff member to come out and build this, with help from all our Indigenous students in Canley Heights, from Kindy to Year 6.

Our Aboriginal garden is looking beautiful.
